CANDIDATE STATEMENT
I am a 30-year Orange County resident, a 21-year public servant, and a mother
of 3 children. I share a great commonality among the women and parents of this community at large.
My core belief are:
Government should be accountable for maintaining
strong educational institutions and economic growth.
Citizens must be protected from government abuse of power such as, eminent domain.
Continued transportation improvements are crucial to
our economic and social development. Transportation funds should be allocated to upgrade streets, extending freeways, synchronizing traffic signals, other congestion relief measures, and not to unnecessary special interest projects.
Responsible spending is vital to maintaining adequate education, health care, prevention programs, and affordable housing. Taxpayers, employees, and, particularly, retirees who have already invested their youth into our system deserve a responsible and accountable government that will invest diligently, spend within their means, and promote fiscal programs that will withstand the test of time. WE DO NOT NEED NEW TAXES.
District 1 is very rich in culture and has people from all walks of life; this is what makes it a great American district. As a self-made immigrant I have the utmost appreciation and understanding of the diversity that lies within District 1.
