Dina Nguyen was elected to the Garden Grove
City Council in November 2006. Prior to her
election, she served as a commissioner on the Garden Grove Neighborhood Improvement and Conservation Commission.
She has also attained an 18-year legal career with the Orange County Superior Court. Both her professional law practice and her activities in the community focus
on the areas of education, family, and business.
Dina has lent her support to organizations such as the Garden Grove Rotary Club, The Sustainable Community Foundation of Orange County, Boy Scouts of America, the American Red Cross, and the NBH Youth and Cultural Development Center.
Dina has spent her entire life in Orange County since arriving to California in 1977. She now resides in Garden Grove where she lives with her three children.
EDUCATION/PROFESSION
Dina attended law school while working full time at the court. She is now an active member of the California Bar Association. Her law practice focuses mainly in the areas of education, family, and business law. She is an avid advocate for quality education. Dina strongly believes that every child deserves an appropriate education and that education generates a capable workforce. She finds working with parents who have children in special education programs and small businesses in the community both particularly, challenging and rewarding.
